Established in January 1997, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has two main areas of responsibility, the first of which is the international promotion of Dubai’s commerce and tourism interests.

The DTCM’s is also the principal authority for the planning, supervision and development of the tourism sector in the emirate.

In its marketing role, the DTCM plans and implements an integrated programme of international promotions and publicity activities. This programme includes exhibition participation, marketing visits, presentations, roadshows, familiarisation visits, advertising, brochure production and distribution, media relations and enquiry information services.

In addition to its head office in Dubai, the DTCM has 18 overseas office covering important tourism markets including North America, UK and Ireland, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland & Austria, Italy, Russian and CIS, South Africa, India, Far East, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand, Saudi Arabia.

The DTCM’s Far East Representative Office, which is located in Hong Kong, is responsible for the promotion of Dubai in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia.
